Fred Thompson has been played in so many bad roles that he has become utterly delusional.
Actor and former U.S. Sen. Fred Thompson said Tuesday that his potential Republican opponents are trying to dig up dirt on him while he considers running for the White House....
"It's kind of like gnats swarming around a war horse," he said. "You know, they aggravate you sometimes, but in the end _ not that important."
Perhaps it's seneility. Perhaps it's typical Republican Koole Aid, but Thompson has reached the point where I think be believes he really did command that ship in "The Hunt for Red October". What war did he fight in? None that I am aware of. Well then, is he a political "war horse"? He left barely a footprint in the Senate, is not resposible for any major legislation (except maybe when he was a lobbyist) and I sure as hell do not know any political wars he fought. I barely heard a peep from the guy in the years that he served. Fred, you're not old enough to believe to confuse your (bad) acting roles with real life. Why don't you just continue mumbling on "Law and Order".
